Arriving at a hotel, it’s always exciting! Would everything be ok? How is the room in real life? I mean we all know how pictures and reality can be worlds apart 😉
I always feel like a kid in a candy shop when we are standing in front of our room with the keycard ( or old fashion key ) in our hand, ready to open the door and see what’s behind it.
Especially when you just heard you got an upgrade to a Private Pool Suite Room 😉
In between two Hotel collaborations, we needed a place to stay just for one night. Nothing too fussy or expensive, but comfortable, reasonable prices and something different. ( Not your ordinary shoebox room )
When scrolling for good hotel options at AGODA I bumped into a nice offer for the Watermark Hotel & Spa in Jimbaran. Exactly what we were looking for, and situated in Jimbaran, an area we wanted to check out. Which unfortunately we didn’t due to the rain, so we have to come back another time 😉
We decided to book two Suite Rooms, as they were the cheapest, offered everything ( and more ) we needed for just one night, and looked pretty good.
Then we got the message we got our room upgraded to a Private Pool Suite Room in return for online exposure. Yes please! 🙂
(O)pa and (O)ma would still stay in the Suite Room – Which wasn’t bad at all! 😉
The Suite Room at Watermark Hotel & Spa Jimbaran
Is decorated with unique wooden art and offers panoramic views of the swimming pool or city. The rooms are quite big ( 64 square meters ) and feature a private balcony and comfortable sitting area, including a relaxing couch on the balcony.
There is a luxury coffee machine, unlimited drinking water, a workbench and high-speed WiFi.
The bathroom is awesome with grey stones, a comfortable nature stone bath, rain shower, double amenities and separate shower.
The Pool Suite Room at Watermark Hotel & Spa Jimbaran
Is amazing! The room layout is similar to the Standard Suite Room, but the Pool Suite Rooms have a bigger teardrop shaped bath and of course their own private pool. This was the first time ever that we slept in a hotel room with our own private pool!
And then there was that bathtub… Another first-timer, as we never sat in a bath that big! As soon as we all walked into the room, there where a lot of OMG Check this out’s 😉
Facilities at the Watermark Hotel & Spa Jimbaran
The Watermark Hotel & Spa Bali is a 4-star premium hotel strategically located just a few minutes walk away from the sandy coastline of Kedonganan – Jimbaran beach, 10 minutes drive away from Denpasar International Airport and 15 minutes from Kuta Beach.
The Watermark Hotel provides a complimentary buggy car to the Beach.
Club lounge at the Watermark Hotel & Spa Jimbaran
The exclusive club lounge is available for Club Watermark Suite’s guest only. ( The Watermark Hotel offers ‘normal’ standard rooms and Suite Rooms ) The club lounge provides all-day refreshments, light meals, tea, coffee, juices, beers, mocktails and 1 cocktail of the day.
Opening hours: 11.00 – 22.00
Rooftop pool at the Watermark Hotel & Spa Jimbaran
The main swimming pool is located on the ground floor in front of the Restaurant but there is also a Rooftop pool with views over Kedonganan beach.
There is a little bar where you can order drinks and there are a few sunbeds, tables and chairs to relax in.
W senses Restaurant at Watermark Hotel Jimbaran
Is the main restaurant and offers al fresco breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They use fresh and safe food and offer Indonesian and Western dishes.
We ordered Nasi Goreng and a Pizza and it was all very delicious!
Breakfast is standard and nothing spectacular, but various items and tasteful.
Verdict on the Watermark Hotel & Spa in Jimbaran
Great hotel for families as the rooms are very spacious, it’s more a little apartment than a room, there are 2 swimming pools and it’s close to local attractions.
Price is great, especially for what you get. We would definitely book the Watermark Hotel & Spa again and opt for the Pool Suite Room if you want a bit of extra luxury for a very decent price.
